ESPSA Christmas newsletter 2013

The Earley St Peters Christmas Fayre

Saturday 30th November at 3-5pm

The Earley St Peters Christmas Fayre is approaching and organisation is well under way.  This year we have managed to book lots of exciting external stalls such as Nirvana, Phoenix Cards, Jewellery, Ikon Hair, Pamper Chef to name but a few alongside which we will also be running the sweet, bottle, Christmas crafts, Crazy Golf and games stalls.  We will also have refreshments - tea, coffees, hot chocolates, cakes and biscuits. The school Christmas tree lights being turned on, the school choir singing for us at 4pm and of course a visit from Santa himself!!

For all the work that has already taken place, there is still lots to do and this is when we need to ask for all of your help to help make this year’s fayre another successful and profitable event for our children and our school.

We will need help on all the above mentioned stalls and even if you can just do one 30 minute shift on one of the stalls it would be much appreciated. There will be a sign-up board in the playground from the 19th November so please take a look. If you want more information about the various roles before you sign up there will be descriptions on the notice board (by the Bike Shed) and also at http://espsareading.blogspot.co.uk/

We also need to ask for donations of more delicious cakes, biscuits and savouries such as samosas, bhajis etc to sell so if you feel you can help out in this area please bring them to the office on Friday 29th November or bring them along to the fayre.

The ever popular bottle tombola is running again this year and for this we ask for you to bring in bottles of any description … bubble bath, juice, oils or alcohol to name just a few. All donations are greatly appreciated and should be taken to the school office by 28th November.

We are looking forward to receiving lots more fabulous Christmas cakes for the christmas cake competition the “bake-off” deadline for this will be the 29th November at 8.45am. You should have received full details of this in the book bags last week, if not please go to
http://espsareading.blogspot.co.uk/

Christmas raffle tickets will be on sale too with fantastic prizes to be won such as 4 tickets for Jack & the Beanstalk at the Hexagon, a meal for 2 at Bosco Lounge, Smyths voucher, £24 Ski-plex voucher and many more!! Raffle tickets will be sold at the fayre for the brilliant cost of only £1 each. The Christmas Quiz is also running again this year with entry forms priced at £1 (available at the fayre) and with the possibility of winning £10 to spend in the January sales it is a fun family friendly activity which can be completed over the christmas holidays.

We realise it’s a busy time of year for everyone especially families but we really couldn’t do these events without all of the brilliant mums, dads, grandparents and carers we are lucky enough to have at the school so if you feel you can do anything to help please let us know. Otherwise by just putting the flyer on the reverse of this newsletter up in your car/home/shop window will hopefully help to make the Earley St Peters Christmas Fayre a busy, successful & fun event.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas from ESPSA
